This set includes the illustrations of Ingahild Grathmer, a pseudonym of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.  In the early 1970s, before ascending to the throne, Her Majesty sent her illustrations directly to J.R.R. Tolkien and he loved them.  They first appeared in a 1977 edition of the Danish translation as well as an English Folio Society edition.
